Train Derailment Scene in New Haven Clears

    A minor train derailment closed some streets in New Haven Thursday afternoon.

    Part of Grand Avenue in New Haven was closed on Thursday afternoon after a freight train derailed.

    Grand Avenue was closed between East and James streets, but the scene is now clear.

    Marie Angelini, of the Providence and Worcester Railroad Company, said this was a minor derailment and that one or two wheels came off the track.

    No injuries are reported.
