The cause of a Hartford house fire is under investigation on Monday morning.
Fire officials said they received a call about a fire on Hartland Street around 8:30 a.m.
According to firefighters, there was a fire in the basement of the home. It caused smoke damage in the basement and inside the home.
In total, seven people live in the home. The four people who were home at the time of the fire made it out safely, firefighters said.
It is unclear if the residents will be allowed back in the home.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
