Firefighters are battling a fire at a home on Talmadge Hill Road in Prospect, according to police.
The residents heard the smoke detectors go off and were able to get out of the house on their own, officials said.
Officials said this appears to be an electrical fire and crews put it out relatively quickly.
No one was injured, but the house sustained smoke damage.
Firefighters had to take down some sheetrock as they battled the fire.
