Chapel Street in New Haven has reopened after public works crews responded to cover up a sink hole near Derby Avenue.
The road was closed for more than an hour as public works crews responded. Crews covered the hole with metal plate until they are able to patch it up.
A neighbor noticed the sink hole, called police and blocked it off.
Police arrived around 7:42 p.m. and closed Chapel Street.
No one was injured, police said.
