Child Drowns In Plymouth Pond

Police said the 4-year-old was pronounced dead at Bristol Hospital.

A 4-year-old child is dead after drowning in a Plymouth pond Saturday night.

Police said they responded to the area of Keegan Road shortly before 5 p.m. Saturday on reports of a missing child.

Officials searched the surrounding area and discovered the child in a small pond.

According to police, the child was pronounced dead at Bristol Hospital after attempts to perform CPR failed.

Police said the incident remains under investigation.
