While two children were inside a Vernon home, a husband and wife were involved in a murder-suicide, said police.

Alice Morrin, 43, and James Morrin, 45, were found dead while their 15-year-old daughter, and their younger daughter, 8 or 9 years old, were inside the home.

Just before midnight, police say Alice Morrin called 9-1-1 to say she and her husband were having a fight of some sort.

Two officers went to the home and before they could approach, they heard two gun shots, which presumably killed one person. Then a third lone gunshot was heard, which could have been the shooter taking their own life.

Inside, police found the two adults dead.

Police swat teams arrived and one child walked out.  Police got the other child out as well.
