Connecticut Gas Prices Exceed California's

We're paying an average 4 cents per gallon more than California.

If you feel your bank account shrinking each time you put a gallon of gasoline, it’s because Connecticut now has higher gas prices than even
California.

According to AAA’s Daily Fuel Gauge Report, the statewide average for regular gasoline here is $3.82, while the average in California is $3.78.

The last time that Connecticut drivers paid more at the pump than those in California was on Feb. 9.

Retail gasoline prices have risen as global crude oil prices have increased over the last month, according to AAA.

Today’s price is seven cents more than we spent one week ago and six cents more expensive than one month ago.

However, the national average remains 46 cents below the year-to-date peak price of $3.94 on April 5.

Hawaii still has the most expensive gasoline in the country, with an average price of $4.16 per gallon, while the cheapest gasoline in the country is in South Carolina, where drivers are paying an average of $3.17.
