Connecticut commuters will get a break from road construction over the Labor Day weekend.
Governor Dannel P. Malloy says all construction and paving on state roads and highways will be suspended during the long holiday weekend to help ease traffic congestion.
Construction will be suspended this morning and resume at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Only emergency work will be performed.
