A 20-year-old felon is facing new charges in connection with the July 21 shooting of a man on Arthur Street in New Haven.
Martese Allen, 20, of New Haven, was arrested Thursday and charged with criminal possession of a weapon and carrying a pistol without a permit.
Police said his arrest is linked to the shooting of Eddie Langs, 27, who remains in critical condition at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
New Haven police said they found ballistic evidence linked to the crime at a separate scene on Lambert Street.
Authorities are still investigating the shooting.
