Cops Make Bust in Vending Machine Thefts

Surveillance cameras were rolling when an alleged thief stole money from the vending machines at South Windsor High School.

Now police have charged James Giuliano, 29, of Windsor with burglary and larceny.

Last November, police say Giuliano was seen on surveillance video using a key to open the vending machines in the school's cafeteria and in the athletic wing and taking the money.

Police say about $600 in bills and coins was taken.

Investigators circulated images from the surveillance cameras. A tip led to Giuliano. He was arrested Wednesday and released on $5,000 bond. He is due in Manchester Superior Court March 17.
