Coroner Rules Toddler’s Death a Homicide

A 23-month old boy's death is ruled a homide.

A 23-month old baby was killed in Meriden, police said.
Meriden firefighters and the Hunters Meriden Ambulance went to a Gilbert Road home around 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday to respond to a call for a non-responsive toddler.
The child was taken to Mid-State Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. medical examiner ruled performed an autopsy and ruled the death a homicide.
Meriden Police and the Department of Children & Families are investigating.
