Man Jumped in Front of Vehicle Before Being Hit, Killed in New Haven: Witnesses

A man has died after he was hit by a car in New Haven on Tuesday morning.

Officers were called to 662 Middletown Avenue around 3:45 a.m. to investigate a pedestrian that was hit by a car.

When police arrived, they said they found a 32-year-old man with life-threatening injuries.

According to witnesses, the man jumped right in front of the vehicle before he was hit.

The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation, police added.

The pedestrian's identity has not been released.
