Crews Respond to Gas Leaks in Naugatuck

The Naugatuck Fire Department has responded to at least one, but possibly two, gas leaks in the area of Carroll Street and Tolles Square.

The Naugatuck Fire Department has responded to at least one, but possibly two, gas leaks in the area of Carroll Street and Tolles Square and two apartment buildings are being evacuated. 

Yankee Gas called the fire department at 9:56 a.m. to investigate a gas leak at an apartment building on Carroll Street.

As they were checking on that incident, they received a report at 10:26 a.m. of another gas leak at an apartment building on Tolles Square

A school nearby has not been evacuated.

No additional information was immediately available.
