Four Children, Four Adults Displaced in Waterbury House Fire

Eight people from two families are displaced after a fire at a Waterbury home Saturday afternoon.

Firefighters responded to 1639 Thomaston Avenue.

Debris blocking the third floor made it difficult for crews to fight the fire.

Four adults and four children from two families have been displaced. Officials believe the building is salvageable.

No one was injured.

There is also a business attached to the building, but it was not affected.

The fire is under control and crews were getting ready to clear the scene at 3:31 p.m.
