A home on Reservoir Road was destroyed by a fire Saturday, fire officials said.
The flames broke out at 3 Reservoir Road on Saturday afternoon around 1:45 p.m., officials confirmed.
Fire officials said when crews arrived they found a two-story home 90 percent involved. No one was inside the home at the time, officials said.
Due to the conditions firefighters had to battle the blaze from outside the structure. Officials said the extreme heat from the weather and the intense flames made fighting the fire challenging.
No injuries were reported and the fire was under control around 4:24 p.m.
Multiple departments including Bozrah, Colchester, Yantic, Gardner Lake, Salem, East Great Plains, Marlborough all responded to assist.
The Lebanon fire marshal and state fire marshal are investigating the cause.
