What's the matter with going to the wrong school? A lot.

Above the doors of St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church in New Haven is a mosaic of Christ holding the Bible out to the faithful. Quite a heavy book has fallen on Fr. Iura Godenciuc, who runs the church.

He's charged with larceny for allegedly sending his two children to the public schools in Region 5 -- Bethany, Orange, and Woodbridge.

So is a 75-year-old woman, Mary Antonyshyn, who allegedly allowed the children to use her home as their address.

Region 5 wants Godenciuc ordered to pay tuition for the six years his children attended school across the line, more than $75,000.

Godenciuc and Antonyshyn are free on a promise to appear in court next Wednesday.
