Driver Hit Cyclist in Hartford: Police

A person who was driving with an expired driver's license hit a cyclist who crossed the SUV's path near 31 Woodland Street in Hartford on Wednesday morning, according to police.

Police said the driver stayed at the scene and the cyclist was taken to the hospital to be treated for a possible broken leg.

Police don't expect to file criminal charges, but the SUV driver was cited for driving a vehicle without a license. The driver had a license, but it is expired, according to police.
