Alligator Found in Suffield Is a Stuffed Animal

The "alligator" found along the Connecticut River in Suffield was not real. It was a 5-foot-long stuffed animal, according to the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.

Officials from DEEP said this morning that they were investigating the credibility of the reports of a dead alligator on the banks of the river and have determined that it was not real.
