Police are at the scene of a fight at Manchester High School.

A Wallingford woman is in critical condition after a crash on I-91 on Saturday night and police said the man responsible was under the influence and his 3-year-old son was wandering on the highway after the crash.

Angel Alvarado, 30, of Wallingford, was driving a dump truck about 20 miles per hour in the far right lane of the highway just before 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, veered into the center lane and into the path of the car that former Superintendent of Schools Dale Wilson, was driving, the New Haven Register reports.

Dale Wilson, 61, broke his arm, the newspaper reports. Alvarado was not injured.

Alvarado was charged with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol and making an unsafe lane change, the Register reports. His son was not proper restrained and he was wandering around the crash scene, unattended and near traffic, the newspaper reports.
