Just days after announcing it's grounding non-stop service from Connecticut to Los Angeles, Delta is adding new flights out of Bradley Airport.

The airline will begin once-a-week service to Las Vegas. The flights will depart Saturdays beginning Oct. 2.

Delta will also offer three daily flights to Ronald Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C. Those flights start Oct. 31.

Gov. M. Jodi Rell called Wednesday's announcement a boon for both business and leisure travelers. "These new services are a tremendous addition for Bradley passengers, who will enjoy the convenience -- and the cost benefits -- of increased competition on these important routes," Rell said.

Monday Delta said it would end non-stop service between Bradley and LAX. The airline had just started the route in June.
