Officers Alleged Actions Very Unbecoming: Report

Two police officers in New London find themselves on the other side of the law.
When two New London cops were fired on Monday for conduct unbecoming of state police officers, the reasons were a mystery.
Now more details are coming out, and yes, the allegations are very unbecoming, but not just for cops -- for any human being.
Police Chief Margaret Ackley fired Razulallah Wallace and Jeffrey Nichols, both two year veterans of the force.
Wallace is accused of having sex with a woman in his police cruiser while he was on duty, the Day of New London reports.
If that was not enough, the woman was allegedly using cocaine, the Day reports. (In case you didn’t know, that’s illegal Mr. Wallace).
Nichols is accused of e-mailing cell phone pictures of a dead body of an overdose victim to various people, the Day reports.
"These two officers have violated the public’s trust and I have lost confidence in their ability to properly exercise their duties as police officers," Ackley said earlier this week.
Wallace, a Norwich resident who joined the department in 2007 from New York City, is charged with violating departmental codes like consorting knowingly with criminals, participating in conduct unbecoming a police officer and violating the observance of law policy, his oath of office and the public trust.
Nichols served in the Marines before joining the department in 2007. He is charged with divulging information, acting with conduct unbecoming a police officer and violating his oath of office and the public trust.
The terminations of both officers were results of unrelated internal investigations.
Police officials told the Day no other details would be released, including when the alleged incidents occurred, how the investigation proceeded and if criminal charges are pending.
