Dog Dies in Danbury Fire

    Fire on Stillman Avenue in Danbury.

    One dog is dead after fire destroyed a home in Danbury this morning and several other pets were able to get out of the house OK. 

    Officials said the fire on Stillman Avenue was two alarms and two firefighters went to the hospital.

    Six other dogs and a cat made it out OK.

    The American Red Cross is helping families that were displaced.

    The cause of the fire is not known.
