Donate in Honor of Manchester Massacre Victims

Several funds and fundraisers have been set up after the Manchester massacre at Hartford Distributors.

Texas Roadhouse Fundraiser

Texas Roadhouse in Manchester is holding a special fundraiser for the families of the eight victims killed on Friday, Aug. 20.

The restaurant is not usually open for lunch, but will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. For $10 you can have grilled chicken salad, a pulled pork sandwich or cheeseburgers, along with green beans, baked beans, fries and a non-alcoholic drink and 100 percent of the proceeds will go directly to victims’ families.

Pasta Fundraiser Dinner

A pasta fundraiser dinner to benefit the families of the victims of the Hartford Distributor Inc. shooting in Manchester will be held on Thursday, Aug. 26, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Manchester Elks Lodge #1893, 30 Bissell St. Manchester. Tickets are $12 per person

Teamsters Fund

The Teamsters union, which lost several members in the shootings established the
Hartford Distributors Memorial Fund, established the "Teamsters Local 1035 Hartford Distributors Memorial Fund" to help raise money for the victims.

The Teamsters Union will donate the first $50,000 to help the families.

Edwin Kennison, 49, of East Hartford: Memorial donations be made to the Ashley Kennison Scholarship Fund c/o New Alliance Bank 481 Buckland Rd. South Windsor, CT 06074.

William Ackerman Jr., 51, of East Windsor: In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Education Fund for the Laurin and Sullivan children, c/o Rockville Bank, 231 Hazard Ave., Enfield, CT 06082. Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, South Windsor has care of arrangements.

Bryan Cirigliano, 51, of Newington: In lieu of flowers, donations in Bryan’s memory may be made to the Bryan Cirigliano Memorial Foundation, c/o Lindsay and Megan, 26 Sleepy Hollow Road, Newington, CT 06111. The foundation will sponsor girls’ softball and little league tournaments in Newington.
