Downed Wires Could Affect Amtrak Travel to Philly, DC

Amtrak trains are running in Connecticut, but downed wires are causing problems that will affect travelers hoping to head south.

Amtrak said in a statement that there is limited service on its Acela Express and Northeast Regional Service between Philadelphia and Washington because of the downed wires.

The company says "engineering forces are working to rectify the problem.

Service is operating between Philadelphia, New York and Boston and the Keystone Service is operating as normal between Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Philadelphia and New York.

Amtrak has no estimate for service restoration.
