A driver hit a house on Shelton Avenue in New Haven on Friday morning and has been taken to the hospital.
Officials from the New Haven Fire Department said two cars collided at Shelton Avenue and Bassett Street and one car hit the porch of 323 Shelton Ave., as well as a gas meter in front of the building.
Gas was shut off and the driver was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital.
Officials said there was no major structural damage to the house, but the gas meter will need to be replaced.
No one was home when the car hit the house.
