Driver Killed in Morris Two-Car Crash

A driver died after a two-car car crash on Route 109 near Pitch Road in Morris on Friday night.

State Police responded after receiving a call about the accident at about 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 26.

There were multiple injuries reported and one of the drivers died due to injuries sustained in the crash.

Morris firefighters and ambulance personnel also responded, as well as Thomaston firefighters and Bethlehem and Litchfield ambulances.

It's unclear at this time how many people were in the cars involved in the crash and how many were hurt. State Police have not released the identity of the driver who died or the other parties in the crash.

Route 109 was closed for a couple hours and partially reopened as of 10:52 p.m. Friday.

State Police have not released further details on the cause and circumstances of the crash. The accident remains under investigation.
