Dunkin' Donuts Park in Hartford Named Best Double-A Ballpark for Second Consecutive Year

The selection was voted by fans on Ballpark Digest's website and makes the Yard Goats the first MiLB team to repeat with the best ballpark

Dunkin' Donuts Park, the Hartford home to the Yard Goats, was named the "Best Double-A Ballpark in America," for the second straight year.

The award comes from Ballpark Digest, a website focused on ballparks across the country.  Fans of the ballparks voted in a bracket-style tournament.

Dunkin' Donuts Park now becomes the first minor league baseball stadium to win the award two years in a row.

“Yard Goats fans continue to demonstrate a vibrant passion for Dunkin’ Donuts Park,” General Manager Mike Abramson said. “It’s truly an honor to be named Best Double-A Ballpark for the second year in a row, and to win in back-to-back years as only a Major League franchise has before.”

PNC Park, the home to the major league Pittsburgh Pirates, won the award in back-to-back-seasons in 2015 and 2016, but no minor league team has followed suit until Dunkin' Donuts Park.

The Yard Goats opened Dunkin’ Donuts Park in 2017 and played in front of 41 sellout crowds last season.  This year, the Yard Goats are leading the entire Eastern League in total attendance (216,370) and have played in front of 20 sellout crowds.

The Yard Goats have been sold out each game over the past four weekends (Friday-Sunday) and have played in front of standing room crowds in 18 of the past 25 games in Hartford.
