A tractor-trailer carrying a load of wood was involved in a crash on Route 2 in Glastonbury Tuesday morning and a bridge will need to be inspected, according to state police.
The truck crashed just after 7:30 a.m. in the median near exit 8 eastbound, police said.
Route 2 remained open, but one lane was blocked in both directions. The scene had been cleared as of about 9 a.m., according to the Department of Transportation.
No information on injuries was immediately available, but emergency medical crews and the fire department were heading to the scene.
