Injured Police Officer Released from Hospital

Officer Todd Lentocha was critically injured on January 4th after his police vehilce was struck by a pick up truck on Route 2.

Injured Police Officer Released from Hospital

After more than a month, East Hartford Police Officer Todd Lentocha has been treated and released, according to a Hartford Hospital spokeswoman.

Todd Lentocha is a five-year veteran of the East Hartford police department. He was critically injured when his parked police cruiser was struck by a pick up truck on the side of Route 2 on January 4th. Police confirm Officer Lentocha was on duty and working on an investigation at the time of the accident.

East Hartford Police did not charge the driver of the truck. State Police say the investigation is still ongoing.
