East Haven police are searching for a driver who hit two pedestrians and drove off.
Police say they responded to the area of 90 Short Beach Road around 9:30 p.m. Sunday. When they arrived they found two pedestrians who had been struck by a vehicle. Both victims were conscious and alert and were transported to the hospital. Details of their injuries was not available.
Police say witnesses described the vehicle as a silver SUV. It should have front passenger side damage and may be missing the passenger side headlight.
