First responders are trying to reach a person in need, according to police.

Emergency Crews Find Body in Mt. Higby in Middletown

Emergency crews responded to the Mount Higby Reservior area in Middletown to search for a person in need on Monday, according to police.

Middletown and Meriden emergency crews responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle near a  wooded area near the Mount Higby Reservoir.

Around 3 p.m., Middletown police were assisting Meriden police with an investigation into a suspicious vehicle. a K9 unit was brought in and led officers to the the woods off Route 66 near the Meriden line.

Emergency crews eventually came across the body of a male in a remote wooded area in Middletown.

The circumstances surrounding the death are under investigation. The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of his family.
