Hours after police have issued an alert for a missing 12-year-old and a missing 4-year-old believed to have been abducted by their grandmother, the case is resolved.
The children have been found and are safe, according to state police.
An alert issued on Friday morning said police believed that the children’s paternal grandmother, Theresa Bosley, 50, took the children and they were considered endangered.
No arrests have been made, according to Enfield police.
The children had been missing since Thursday, the day the juvenile court in Rockville ordered that the children be placed in the care of the Connecticut Department of Children and Families.
Kilee Bosley is 12 and Christopher Bosley is 4.
The alert asked for people to contact authorities if they saw a gray two-door 2007 Ford Focus with Connecticut registration 117-NPP.
Police said the alerts were vital components in finding the siblings.
