Fake Doctor Sentenced Again

Barry Lichtenthal previously performed off experiments on women.

Barry Lichtenthal spent time in prison for impersonating a doctor and performing strange sexual experiments on women and he’s been sent to jail again. This time it’s for again posing as a physician while in a gynecologist's office.

Lichtenthal, 66, of Putnam, was sentenced on Thursday in Bridgeport Superior Court to 30 days behind bars for violating his probation in the previous case, The Connecticut Post reports.

His lawyer said Lichtenthal claimed to be a retired doctor in January while talking with staff at a Mansfield gynecologist's office about a billing dispute involving his wife's treatment. He is actually a former investment counselor, the Connecticut Post reports.

In 2004, Lichtenthal was sentenced to five years in prison followed by five years' probation for posing as a doctor at his ex-wife's drug treatment center in Bridgeport when she was out on maternity leave and for performing strange sexual experiments on young women before giving them methadone. In one case, he connected wires to two women’s breasts and to an EKG machine and said he was trying to learn if they were lesbians.
