Mile Hill Road is closed in Tolland between Reed and Dockeral roads because of a fatal crash.
The car was on fire and brought down power lines on Mile Hill Road, which is also Route 31.
The road will be closed as state police investigate, so drivers should avoid the area.
If you are heading eastbound, use Reservoir Road to Brandy Hill Road to Hatch Hill Road to Cedar Swamp Road.
If you are heading westbound, use Cedar Swamp Road to Hatch Hill Road to Brandy Hill Road to Reservoir Road.
