A fire broke out on the roof of a building at Wesleyan University in Middletown early Wednesday morning.
Crews who were renovating the roof noticed materials smoldering and notified the Middletown Fire Department.
Crews responded to the Exley Science Center, at 265 Center Street at 1:57 a.m. and extinguished the fire.
No one was injured and officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
