A family is displaced after fire damaged their home on Porter Drive in West Hartford this morning.
Smoke detectors went off and the family was able to get out of their home safely, officials said.
The fire department was called at 2:08 a.m., battled the heavy fire from three different angles and extinguished it in about 40 minutes.
The fire caused heavy damage to the home, but no one was injured.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The Hartford Fire Department provided mutual aid.
