Fire Erupts at Manchester Gas Station

Firefighters responded to a fire at a gas station in Manchester on Sunday.

The fire broke out at the United Fuel gas station on Middle Turnpike and Adams Street.

A video from the scene showed flames shooting from the building.

According to fire department officials, a bystander alerted the clerk to a fire at the rear of the building that included propane tanks. 

The clerk was able to exit the building with a customer and turn off an emergeny swtich to the gas pumps. Neither the slerk or customer were injured. 

There was no damage to the pumps, but the store sustained some damage. 

According to officials, the station will remain closed for about a month. 

The fire remains under investigation.
