Fire Breaks Out at Whoopi Goldberg's Former Cornwall Home

A fire broke out at a house in Cornwall that used to belong to Whoopi Goldberg Tuesday morning.

Several area fire departments responded to 344 Cream Hill Road to help put out the fire. There is no word on injuries.

Cream Hill Road was closed as fire crews responded.

No further information was immediately available on the fire.

Goldberg bought the house, which sits on 9.33 acres of land, on Nov. 6, 1991 and sold it on Feb. 1, 2000, according to the Cornwall assessor's office. The property, which also has a stable and two barns, has a total appraised value of $1,384,800, including the buildings, the assessor's office said. The 3,615-square-foot home alone has a $971,400 value, was built in 1866 and has four bedrooms and three bathrooms, according to the assessor's office.

The current owners are listed as Douglas and Kathryn Green, who primarily live in the Bronx, according to the assessor's office.
