Flight Attendant Sexually Assaulted Boy 156 Times: Police

A 22-year-old flight attendant from Fort Lauderdale, Florida has been arrested and charged with sexually assaulting a Connecticut boy 156 times.

Airport police in Florida arrested Rafael Padilla-Cruz, who was to be extradited, according to court documents.

Police in Bridgeport arrested Padilla-Cruz on Oct. 23 and he has been charged with 156 counts of sexual assault in the first degree.

The victim is now 15, according to police.

The Connecticut Post reports that Padilla-Cruz was living with the boy’s family and is accused of sexually assaulting him almost every day between 2007 and 2008 and then telling the boy that something would happen to his mother if he complained.

The assaults ended when Padilla-Cruz moved to Florida to attend flight school, the boy said, according to the Post.

Bond was set at $200,000 and he was released. He is due in court on Nov. 1.

Padilla-Cruz’s lawyer, Richard Meehan, told the Post that his client denies any inappropriate conduct.
