Homeless “fluffy dogs” have arrived in Connecticut and will be available for adoption this weekend.
The small dogs available include purebred and mixed breeds and come from as close as Bridgeport and New York and South Carolina and California.
The SPCA of Connecticut and PETCO are holding adoption events on Friday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at PETCO, 1600 SE Road in Farmington.
On Saturday and Sunday, the dogs will be at the Connecticut Pet Show at the Connecticut Convention Center, located at 100 Columbus Boulevard in Hartford. The hours on Saturday are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Fees for adoption are $395, which include spaying or neutering, vaccines, health certificates, microchipping and transport. A portion of the adoption fee will go towards funding future local rescues and transports.
