Disgraced former Hartford Mayor Eddie Perez, who has been sentenced to prison for corruption, has opened a business in Hartford.
The Hartford Courant reports that he's a partner in Su Seguro, a new insurance agency on Park Street.
In 2010, a jury found Perez guilty of accepting home remodeling work as a bribe from a city contractor and other felony corruption charges.
He resigned as Hartford’s mayor a week after his convictions.
Perez was sentenced to three years in prison. but has been free on bond, awaiting on a decision in his latest appeal.
