A driver was trying to get another driver's attention over debris when he crashed and his passenger was killed, police said.
Giuseppe Falzone, 48, was just trying to get another driver’s attention when things went terribly wrong and his passenger was killed, police said.
He was on Interstate 395 in Montville Thursday and debris was coming from another vehicle on the road, so he was trying to get that driver’s attention, police said.
He lost control of the car, drove into the center median, crashed into the tree on the southbound side of the highway and the car the burst into flames, according to police.
Falzone was seriously hurt, investigators said. His passenger, Laurie Falzone, 39, of Norwich, was pronounced dead at William W. Backus Hospital.
