Mickey Sherman's Going-Away Party — to Prison

It's not everyday you get a going-away party -- to prison.

Friends of well-known lawyer Michael "Mickey" Sherman all chipped in for the "celebration" in Greenwich on Thursday night, reports the Greenwich Time.

Sherman is headed to federal prison to serve a one-year, one-day prison sentence for tax evasion.

Sherman is known for representing Michael Skakel, a Kennedy cousin convicted in the 1975 slaying of Martha Moxley when the two were teens.

Sherman told the Greenwich Time he's not sure where he'll serve his time, and might even stumble into some former clients when he begins his sentence.
