Fundraiser Tonight for Victims of Plane Crash

A fundraiser will be held tonight to help the families affected by the fatal plane crash in East Haven last Friday.

From 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. today, the Chili's at 58 Frontage Road in East Haven will donate 50-percent of its sales to those affected.

Sisters Sade Brantley, 13, and 1-year-old Madisyn Mitchell were killed in the crash when a twin-engine plane struck their home. Their mother survived.

Officials said Bill Henningsgaard was piloting the plane when it crashed as he was attempting to land at Tweed-New Haven airport and plunged into the homes at 64 and 68 Charter Oak Avenue.

Henningsgaard and his 17-year-old son, Maxwell, were also killed.

The girls' funeral will be held tomororw at 10 a.m. at Trinity Temple Church of God in New Haven.
