No serious injuries are reported after fire started in the garage at 35 Sorghum Mill Drive in Cheshire and spread to the living room, but one person was taken to the hospital to be checked.

Two cars were destroyed when fire broke out around 8 a.m. in the garage, officials said.

Everyone was able to get out of the house and no serious injuries are reported.

The Prospect Fire Department provided mutual aid and the fire marshal is investigating the cause.
