Gas Leak Forces Evacuations in Hartford

Homes were evacuated along Fairfield Avenue in Hartford after a constuctrion crew hit a gas line on Wednesday afternoon.

A gas leak has forced the evacuation of several houses on Fairfield Avenue in Hartford.

A contractor struck a gas line at 312 Fairfield Avenue, according to fire officials.

No one has been injured. The homes are being evacuated as a precaution, police said.
