The scene of a gas leak in Portland has been cleared.
The gas leak was caused when a car hit a gas line at Appletree Lane, or Route 17, and Glastonbury Turnpike, officials said.
Residents in the immediate area were asked to stay in their homes as crews responded and police asked others to avoid the area at that time.
No injuries are reported.
