Detectives Working to Unravel Motive in Gas Station Assault

Wallingford Detectives are working to determine the motive behind an assault that left a gas station clerk with serious injuries.

According to police, a man was jumped in the parking lot of the Wallingford gas station where he works.

The victim was outside the Parkway Mobile gas station at 1001 North Colony Road when he was approached and attacked by three men Friday night.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after 10 p.m. to find the store employee bleeding from multiple stab wounds to his head and chest, police said.

The victim told police he did not know the three men and that they never entered the store. Police say the suspects are in their mid to late twenties.
