Kara Schmidt’s parents have always joked that their daughter looks like the Coppertone girl and now she has the chance to be just that.
The adorable 3-year-old from Glastonbury is one of the 10 finalists in the Little Miss Coppertone contest.
Kara’s mom, Deborah Rayburn Schmidt, saw an advertisement for the contest in People magazine and decided to enter her daughter.
“She really does fit that personality,” Deborah said.
Finding summery photos was no problem. After all, Kara’s favorite summer activity is running through the sprinkler and she said she wants to be a mermaid when she grows up.
Kara’s family is proud that she was picked for the top 10.
For Kara, this is just fun. When she sees the Coppertone bottle, she says “That could be me.”
Now it’s up to you.
Coppertone is looking for the little girl who best personifies summer and is outgoing, energetic, wholesome, charming and full of optimism.
Who better than the little Glastonbury girl who loves to go to the beach and eat ice cream with “sparkles.”
