Google Express Expands to Connecticut

Google’s Google Express delivery service is expanding and it’s coming to Connecticut.

Starting today, Google Express is offering two-day delivery from several stores, including Whole Foods Market, Kohl's, Petsmart, Toys”R”Us and more from your phone or computer. They also offer delivery from Costco, but you’ll need a Costco membership to get deliveries, according to the Google Express site.

The service, launched in 2014 as Shopping Express in Los Angeles and New York, competes with Amazon.

Customers can get deliveries of groceries; health and beauty products; products for the home, including bedding, appliances, plants and more; baby products; toys; clothing; electronics; office supplies; and sports and fitness equipment.

Connecticut residents have two options to choose from. You can sign up for membership for $95 a year or pay-as-you-go as low as $4.99 per order.

"Our goal with Google Express is to offer a great shopping experience and connect people with their favorite stores," Brian Elliott, general manager of Google Express said. "Today, we're very excited to be further expanding our efforts -- making it easy for millions in Connecticut to get things they need from stores they love -- delivered fast."
